The mother of martyred journalist Tahir Zaman Priyo, Shamsi Ara Zaman, has alleged that the accused in her son’s murder case are continuously threatening her with death. “As a citizen and the mother of a martyr, I do not want any elections before reforms. I do not believe another government will ensure justice for these killings. I am now worried about my family’s safety. They have told me, ‘Your son was killed; now it’s your turn,’” she said. She urged the interim government to ensure the security of all families affected by the July uprising.
