Cumilla Education Board Chairman Professor Md. Ahsan Parvez stated that the board will give utmost priority to students’ welfare in future incidents. He clarified that except for Cumilla Government Women’s College, no other exam center faced similar issues. The chairman made these remarks at a press conference held at the Cumilla Education Board office on Tuesday night.

He explained that during Monday’s examination, the board had shown full sincerity, but sudden heavy rainfall early in the morning made it impossible to postpone the test immediately. To ensure students could complete their exams safely, the Cumilla City Corporation, district administration, education board, and other stakeholders worked together. For Wednesday’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam, the center was shifted from Cumilla Government Women’s College to Ajit Guha College to reduce waterlogging-related difficulties.

Professor Parvez expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and assured that the board would remain more cautious and proactive in handling such situations in the future.
