BNP candidate Abdul Wadud Bhuiyan has been unofficially declared the winner in Khagrachhari’s only parliamentary seat, according to results published on February 13, 2026. Contesting under the paddy sheaf symbol, he secured 148,212 votes across 203 polling centers. His nearest rival, an independent candidate backed by the United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) using the horse symbol, received 58,138 votes. The Jamaat-e-Islami candidate, with the scales symbol, obtained 54,116 votes, while a BNP rebel independent candidate using the football symbol received 53,384 votes.
District Election Officer S.M. Shahadat Hossain reported that out of 7,071 postal ballots in the constituency, 5,029 were cast. However, detailed results of those postal ballots were not yet available at the time of reporting.
The Khagrachhari result adds to a series of BNP victories reported in other constituencies, as unofficial tallies continue to emerge from across the country.
