Prime Minister’s Information Adviser Dr. Zayed Ur Rahman said BNP will implement all provisions of the signed July Charter except its notes of dissent. He made the statement at a press conference marking the government’s 180 days at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on August 17, 2026.

Ur Rahman said other parties also had notes of dissent and would have excluded them if they came to power. Similarly, he said, BNP would implement the July Charter after leaving out its own notes of dissent.

BNP Standing Committee members Nazrul Islam Khan and Ismail Jabiullah attended the event. Information Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan and State Minister for Local Government Mir Shahe Alam were also present. The Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Saleh Shibli and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon delivered welcome remarks at the start of the programme.
