Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman will begin a nationwide election campaign tour on January 22 ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election. According to the party’s central publicity department, the tour will start in Dhaka city, where he will conduct public outreach and address an election rally in his constituency, Dhaka-15.

The campaign will continue in northern Bangladesh on January 23 and 24. On January 23, Dr. Rahman is scheduled to attend rallies in Dinajpur’s Gor-e-Shaheed Maidan at 2 p.m., in Thakurgaon at 4 p.m., and in Rangpur city in the evening as the chief guest. The following morning, January 24, he will visit the grave of Abu Saeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University and the first martyr of the July uprising, before addressing a public meeting in Palashbari, Gaibandha at 10 a.m.

The announcement marks the start of Jamaat-e-Islami’s formal campaign activities for the 13th parliamentary election, with Dr. Rahman leading the party’s outreach efforts across key northern districts.
