Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has expressed deep concern over the disappearance of its central assistant international secretary and former Comilla West district president, Jisan Ahmed Pradhan, who has been missing for more than 20 hours. In a joint statement released to the media on Friday, the organization’s central president Nurul Islam and secretary general Sibgatullah demanded his immediate and safe recovery. According to the statement, Jisan went missing after leaving the Daudkandi Model Mosque in Comilla following the Isha prayer on Thursday night.

Shibir leaders said Jisan’s family informed the police immediately after his disappearance, but no progress was made. They alleged that despite providing the authorities with the phone number from which ransom was demanded, no effective action has been taken. The organization also claimed to have contacted the police headquarters, the inspector general of police, and the Rapid Action Battalion, but visible progress remains absent.

The statement further criticized the law enforcement agencies’ mysterious behavior, saying such incidents raise serious questions about the country’s law and order situation. Shibir urged the authorities to rescue Jisan unharmed and return him to his family without delay.
