At least four people were reported dead after a bus and a pickup van collided head-on in Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj on Sunday morning, March 22, 2026. The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. at Anjura area on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway. According to Madhabpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sohel Rana, the pickup van fell into a nearby pond following the collision.

Local residents rescued four people from the pickup van and took them to Madhabpur Hospital, where doctors declared them dead. The police confirmed the incident to the media shortly after the crash.

Authorities have not yet released further details about the victims or the cause of the accident.
