The Dhaka University administration has formed the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) election commission, appointing Professor Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin of the Botany Department as the Chief Returning Officer. The appointment was approved during a syndicate meeting on Monday. Additionally, nine other returning officers have been appointed to assist with the election process. They will coordinate with the Vice-Chancellor to determine the next steps for holding the election. Meanwhile, a section of students staged protests demanding the immediate announcement of the election schedule.
