The upazila-level marches are part of the party’s nationwide series of programmes throughout July.

According to the announced itinerary, marches will be held in Kanaighat and Osmaninagar upazilas on July 30. The programme will continue in Companiganj, Gowainghat and Jaintapur upazilas on July 31. NCP convener Nahid Islam, member secretary Akhtar Hossain MP, reserved-seat MP Dr Mahmuda Mitu and other central leaders are expected to attend.

The July 30 schedule also includes a discussion with families of martyrs at Golapganj municipal auditorium in the morning, followed by lunch at the convener’s residence in the Five Mile area. Juned Ahmed said the marches aim to engage with ordinary people, learn about local problems and convey the party’s message. The party expects participation from activists and people from different professions, while local leaders have sought administrative cooperation.
