In a nationwide special drive, Bangladeshi police have arrested 1,751 individuals in the past 24 hours, including 1,044 named in existing cases and warrants. Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Inamul Haque Sagar stated that the operation also led to the recovery of firearms, including three foreign revolvers, local shotguns, magazines, 74 rounds of ammunition, and various sharp weapons like knives and machetes.
