The speculation intensified after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent parliamentary speech, where he mentioned preparations due to disruptions in energy supply and international markets. Officials clarified that Modi did not refer to any lockdown or movement restrictions. Puri added that the government is closely monitoring energy and power supply conditions, prioritizing stability and continuity over restrictions.
