A Dhaka court has ordered the seizure of 200 acres of land, valued at Tk 180.61 crore, owned by Mohammad Saiful Alam, Chairman of S. Alam Group, and individuals associated with him.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) made the request, citing an ongoing investigation into allegations of money laundering involving Saiful Alam and his associates. According to the ACC, the accused have illicitly acquired and attempted to transfer or conceal vast amounts of assets. To prevent further tampering, the court approved the seizure of the land pending the outcome of the investigation.
