The results were confirmed by Upazila Assistant Returning Officer Khairul Islam and Gangni Assistant Returning Officer Anwar Hossain.

In Meherpur-1, voting took place across 123 centers. Jamaat candidate Taj Uddin Khan received 121,161 votes, defeating BNP candidate Masud Arun, who secured 104,769 votes. The same constituency recorded 109,537 'yes' votes and 32,229 'no' votes. In Meherpur-2, where voting occurred in 90 centers, Jamaat candidate Nazmul Huda won with 94,658 votes, while BNP’s Amjad Hossain obtained 85,452 votes. The constituency also recorded 124,507 'yes' votes and 31,000 'no' votes.

The results indicate Jamaat-e-Islami’s strong performance in Meherpur, with both of its nominated candidates leading over their BNP rivals according to unofficial counts confirmed by election officials.
