BNP leader Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu has launched a sharp attack on the ruling Awami League and Sheikh Hasina, calling them “allies of Pharaoh” and claiming they are “worse than Pharaoh and Nimrod.”

Speaking at a political event, Dulu alleged that for the past 15 years, Islamic scholars and clerics in Bangladesh have faced widespread restrictions. “People with beards, caps, and traditional attire could not move freely. Scholars could not speak openly at gatherings or promote Islam,” he said.

He further claimed that Awami League obstructed religious activities nationwide, drawing a parallel with the historical resistance faced by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) while spreading the message of Islam. “For 15 years, Sheikh Hasina’s government has tried to destroy Islam by restricting its practice and propagation,” Dulu alleged.
