Jamaat-e-Islami has dismissed widespread social media rumors that party Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman recently made a secret trip to Doha, Qatar. In a statement, the party’s Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum clarified that the claims are entirely false and politically motivated. He asserted that Dr. Rahman remained in the country and provided a detailed list of events and programs the party chief attended from May 8 to May 31. Masum alleged the rumors were part of a malicious campaign to tarnish the image of Jamaat’s leadership in the public eye.
