The parliamentary meeting of the ruling party in Bangladesh’s 13th National Parliament has been scheduled for Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the ruling party’s conference room at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. The meeting will be chaired by Leader of the House Tarique Rahman. Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni has requested all ruling party members of parliament to attend. The information was announced in a press release from the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat on Monday afternoon.

The 13th National Parliament election was held on February 12, followed by the oath-taking ceremony of new members on February 17. In the first meeting of the BNP parliamentary party, Tarique Rahman was unanimously elected as the leader of the 13th Parliament. The first session of the new parliament is set to begin on March 12, and preparations have already been completed by the parliament secretariat.

Out of the 300 parliamentary seats, results for two constituencies remain suspended, while one election was canceled due to the death of a candidate.
