Engineer Moinul Islam Khan Shanto, the BNP-nominated candidate for the Manikganj-2 constituency, has been unofficially declared the winner based on results from all 159 polling centers. According to the compiled figures, he secured a total of 167,349 votes under the paddy sheaf symbol. His nearest rival, Md. Salauddin, who contested with the wall clock symbol, received 78,790 votes.

The unofficial count shows Moinul leading by a significant margin of 88,559 votes. While the Election Commission is still processing the official announcement, local supporters of Moinul are reportedly celebrating his apparent victory in a festive atmosphere.

The report also notes that results from other constituencies indicate BNP and allied candidates have achieved notable wins in several areas, including Pabna-5, Patuakhali, Meherpur-1, and Gaibandha-5.
