An attempted arson took place at a Grameen Bank branch in Pirojpur’s Sadar upazila late Wednesday night. According to local residents, unidentified individuals tried to set fire to the bank’s windows and doors around 1:30 a.m. The night guard, Hasib, raised an alarm, prompting locals to rush to the scene, after which the perpetrators fled. Police later visited the site, and one person has been detained for questioning. Authorities reported that the fire caused no significant damage. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
