Aleya Begum, a female inmate, died at Rajbari District Prison on Sunday night around 9 PM. She was pronounced dead at Rajbari Sadar Hospital. According to prison authorities, she was a resident of the Goalanda upazila and had been arrested on January 23 in a drug-related case. On Sunday night, she suddenly experienced severe chest pain, and despite being rushed to the emergency ward, doctors declared her dead. Her body has been sent for an autopsy.
