Flood Situation Worsens in Northern and Eastern Bangladesh Amid Continuous Rainfall
While eastern parts of Bangladesh are already grappling with flooding, water levels in several rivers in the northern region, including the Teesta, are rising alarmingly. Continuous rainfall and upstream water flow have caused the Muhuri, Kahua, and Silonia rivers in Feni district to breach their flood control embankments, flooding over 100 villages. However, with rainfall easing slightly, the flood situation in Parshuram upazila has improved somewhat. Still, floodwaters from Phulgazi are now moving into Chhagalnaiya and Feni Sadar upazilas.
