Nvidia is no longer including China in its revenue and profit forecasts due to strict U.S. export controls. CEO Jensen Huang said the chances of these restrictions easing are slim in the near term. The U.S. now requires a license to export Nvidia’s advanced AI chip, the H20, to China. As a result, the company anticipates a revenue drop of up to $8 billion in Q2 (April–June) and is turning its focus to other global markets.

Nvidia Excludes China from Revenue and Profit Forecasts

Due to U.S. export restrictions, American chipmaker Nvidia is no longer including China in its revenue and profit forecasts. The company’s CEO, Jensen Huang, recently stated that there is little chance these restrictions will be eased in the near future. The U.S. has already made it mandatory for Nvidia to obtain a license to export its most advanced AI chip, the H20, to China. As a result, the company expects its earnings to decline by up to $8 billion in the second quarter of this year (April–June). Nvidia is now shifting its focus to markets outside of China.
