In a surprising twist, the newly approved BNP convening committee for six unions in Jamalganj, Sunamganj, mistakenly included Nabi Hossain, a local ward president of the Awami League. He was later removed from the post and replaced by Nizam Uddin. Nabi Hossain explained that while he was involved in BNP politics during his student days, he wasn’t aware of when he was made part of the Awami League's ward committee. “BNP leaders respected me and included me in their committee. I had no involvement in this decision,” he said. Allegations have surfaced that the union convenor himself may have added Hossain’s name.
