Workers and small business owners have begun returning to Dhaka following the Eid-ul-Azha holidays. Since Tuesday morning, returnees from the southern region have been arriving via buses and launches, while others are seen at various terminals and railway stations. Many are choosing to return early to avoid post-holiday travel chaos and are enjoying the calm of an unusually quiet capital. As the Eid break was extended to 10 days this year, a significant rush of returning passengers is yet to be seen in Dhaka.
