Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury stated that the July genocide case investigation is facing delays because of the large number of accused. Previously, fewer names were involved, but now many innocent people are included, complicating the process of identifying the guilty. To improve policing, a pilot project has been launched to accept cases online nationwide, reducing the need to visit stations. Glass interrogation rooms will also be introduced to ensure transparent questioning during remand.
