Dhaka University erupted in protests at midnight, demanding the resignation of the Home Adviser over allegations of failure to control nationwide incidents of robbery and criminal activities. The protests began at 1 AM on Sunday (February 23) following violent robberies in Banasree and Mohammadpur. DU students took to the streets, marching through various dormitories before gathering at the base of the Raju Memorial Sculpture.
