A businessman named Tutul (45) was shot dead by unidentified assailants in broad daylight in Kushtia’s Madhupur area. The incident occurred near a tea stall by the Madhupur brickfield market. Police reported that the attackers, hiding in the dark, fired two shots at Tutul before fleeing the scene. His family claims he had no personal enemies but had occasionally expressed concerns over long-standing local disputes. They suspect that the killing may have stemmed from these conflicts.
