Bangladesh has approved the import of 17 LNG cargoes from UAE-based OQ Trading Limited to address short-term energy needs. Five shipments will arrive in 2025 and twelve in 2026, with prices based on the JKM index plus 15 cents per MMBtu. Government Approves Purchase of 17 LNG Cargoes from UAE

The government has approved the purchase of 17 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from a UAE-based company to meet the country’s short-term energy demands. The proposal and draft sales and purchase agreement (SPA) for the LNG were approved at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase, chaired by Economic Affairs and Science and Technology Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed.
