In a second round of hearings, 40 former BDR personnel accused in the explosives case related to the 2009 BDR mutiny were granted bail after court scrutiny of their records. Previously, on January 19, the same court granted bail to 178 BDR members, who were released from Keraniganj and Kashimpur jails on January 23. These individuals are co-accused in one of two major cases filed following the mutiny.
