Over 3,500-Year-Old City Discovered in Peru
Archaeologists have uncovered the ruins of an ancient city over three and a half thousand years old in the Barranca province of northern Peru. It is believed to be connected to the Caral civilization, the oldest known civilization in the Americas. The newly discovered city is named Péniko. Experts think the city developed as a center of trade and communication between settlements in the Andes Mountains and the Amazon valley. Report by BBC.
