Effective July 1, the government will increase special allowances for public servants and pensioners. According to a revised finance ministry notification, active government employees will now receive at least BDT 1,500 per month, up from BDT 1,000, while pensioners will receive a minimum of BDT 750 instead of BDT 500.
Pensioners receiving BDT 17,389 or more per month will get a 10% allowance, while those earning below that amount will receive 15%.
সরকারি চাকরিজীবীদের বিশেষ সুবিধা (মহার্ঘ ভাতা) বাড়িয়ে নতুন প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করা হয়েছে। এতে বলা হয়েছে, বিশেষ সুবিধা বাবদ চাকরিরত কর্মচারী-কর্মকর্তারা মাসে এক হাজার টাকার বদলে কমপক্ষে এক হাজার ৫০০ টাকা এবং পেনশনভোগীরা ৫০০ টাকার বদলে কমপক্ষে ৭৫০ টাকা পাবেন।
