Rashed Pradhan, vice president and spokesperson of the Jatiya Ganotantrik Party (JAGPA), stated that the current government, which he described as a 'managed vote' administration, cannot ensure a fair trial for the Pilkhana massacre. He made the remarks on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, during a discussion organized by JAGPA at the Shafiul Alam Pradhan Auditorium in Paltan, marking 'Shaheed Sena Dibosh'. Pradhan alleged that both India and the Awami League’s blueprint were responsible for the massacre.
He further said that JAGPA has been claiming since 2009 that the Pilkhana tragedy was planned by India and the Awami League, and that an interim government report has now confirmed this. However, he noted that despite the report, the interim government could not initiate the trial process. According to him, neither the current government nor the BNP would be able to deliver justice, and he called for the establishment of a government representing the oppressed people.
The meeting was presided over by JAGPA presidium member and freedom fighter Syed Shafiqul Islam, with several party leaders also addressing the event.
