“Those Who Bow to Tyranny Must Be Kept Away from Elections”: Barrister Asim

Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Asim, BNP’s Secretary for International Affairs, has warned that if elections are not held by February 2026, the country will fall into a severe state of uncertainty. He urged the Election Commission to immediately start visible preparations. At the same time, he said that individuals involved in the 2018 and 2024 elections, as well as “those who bow to fallen tyrannies,” must be kept away from the electoral process.
