Jamuna Bridge West Side Faces 4km Traffic Jam Amid Post-Eid Rush
A massive tailback has formed on the west side of the Jamuna Bridge as a surge of Dhaka-bound travelers has put immense pressure on the highway. Traffic on the Dhaka-bound lane from Jamuna Bridge West to Saidabad has come to a virtual standstill, causing immense suffering for thousands of passengers. Since Friday morning (June 13), heavy congestion of buses, private cars, microbuses, motorcycles, and goods-laden vehicles has stretched from the western end of the bridge to Saidabad, with passengers stuck for up to 30 minutes in some areas.
