The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested popular content creator Touhid Afridi in Barishal in connection with the July killing case. His arrest comes after the July Revolutionary Alliance had issued an ultimatum on August 17, demanding his detention. The group alleged that Afridi was also linked to funding the Awami League’s campaign activities during August 15 commemorations. In a strongly worded statement, the Alliance warned authorities that “no theatrics will be accepted—Touhid Afridi must be directly arrested.”
