"There shouldn’t be much problem if the election is held in the first half of April"

Maruf Kamal Khan, journalist and former press secretary to BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, has said that the interim head of government, Muhammad Yunus, has proposed holding the parliamentary elections in the first half of April 2026. That period falls in the latter part of the Bengali month of Chaitra. Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be on March 19 or 20, and the SSC exams are likely to take place in May. Therefore, there should not be much of an issue with the timing.
