Since a political shift in the country, the term "mob" has become increasingly prominent, with analysts frequently pointing out that such unruly public behavior often constitutes human rights violations. Despite the ongoing nature of these incidents, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of Bangladesh has remained inactive for the past eight months. During this time, more than 300 complaints have been filed — yet none have been investigated due to the absence of a functioning commission.
