The party, founded under the National Citizens Committee and Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, appointed Md. Nahid Islam as convener and Akhtar Hossain as member secretary. Security, medical teams, and other facilities were arranged. Nahid Islam resigned from the Interim Government’s Advisory Council to lead the new party.
