Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus announced that the second phase of the interim government commenced after the formal government notification to the Election Commission (EC) to prepare for the 13th National Parliamentary Election. The statement came after a council meeting at the newly constructed Secretariat building. Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam confirmed the news following the session. Regular meetings are also being held at the Jamuna Secretariat.
