Information Secretary Mahbuba Farzana emphasized the need for honesty, accountability, and modernization in government media following the July Revolution. Speaking at a meeting in Khulna, she called for restoring the appeal of Bangladesh Betar and BTV, reducing reliance on state funding through quality programming, and transforming public institutions into profitable ventures. She urged officials to treat state institutions as their own and to combat misinformation, while stressing the importance of training in ICT and contemporary skills for media personnel.
Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Mahbuba Farzana, has said that the time for self-purification has come following the July Revolution. She emphasized that with this spirit in mind, government duties must be carried out with honesty and impartiality.
