In a national address, Interim Government Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus announced that Bangladesh’s next general election will be held in the first half of April 2026. Election Date Announced by Chief Adviser

Chief Adviser of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has announced that the national election will be held in the first half of April 2026. He made the announcement during a televised address to the nation at 7 PM on Friday (June 6).
