After the meeting, Salauddin Ahmed stated that discussions were held with all political parties regarding the July Declaration. Political leaders provided various suggestions. “We asked the interim government whether the July Declaration was necessary five and a half months after the People’s Uprising in July. If it was, its political, historical, and legal significance must be determined. We also advised ensuring that this declaration does not create divisions within the nation,” he said.
