Yunus urged political unity to ensure lasting change, highlighting that despite debates, national solidarity remains strong, making reform a historic opportunity Bangladesh must not waste.

“None of Their Stories Are Holding Up, Even Going to Trump Didn’t Work”: Yunus

Highlighting the domestic and international support received during the first six months of the government, Interim Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus stated that one key takeaway from this period is that the government has secured both the support of the people and the international community. “We have built significant global backing, which is why the opposition (the ousted authoritarian regime) is failing to gain ground. They have tried to spread various narratives, but none of them are holding up. Even after reaching out to U.S. President Trump, they couldn’t sustain their story. Small, large, medium, and wealthy nations alike are supporting us—there is no hesitation from anyone,” he said.
