Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed of the Election Commission announced that the Awami League’s party registration has been suspended. The decision was made during a meeting at the Chief Election Commissioner’s office in Agargaon, chaired by CEC A M M Nasir Uddin and attended by other top EC officials. When asked about a potential ban on the party, the CEC replied cryptically, “When the sun rises in the sky, things will become clear. Please wait.”
