NCP leader Nasiruddin Patwary has strongly criticized a reported meeting between the Bangladesh government and a political party held in London, calling it a betrayal of national interest and public aspirations. "Holding such talks abroad dishonors the blood of our martyrs and cannot be accepted," he stated. Patwary referenced the social contract formed after the 1990 mass uprising, which he said has been ignored in favor of elite interests. Emphasizing the need for structural reform beyond leadership changes, he warned that if the government fails to ensure judicial reform and a new constitution reflecting the people's will, the NCP may be compelled to initiate a second mass uprising. He further announced that the NCP would boycott any election that does not reflect the genuine expectations of the people.
