Low-lying Areas in Noakhali Flooded, Over 150 Homes at Risk of Erosion

Due to a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal, the island upazila of Hatiya is experiencing abnormal tidal surges in the Meghna River. As a result, parts of Musapur and Char Elahi unions in Companiganj, as well as Nijhum Dwip and other low-lying areas in Hatiya, have been inundated. In several places, river erosion has begun, putting over 150 homes at risk.
