Initiative to Boost Efficiency at Chattogram Port by Reducing Vessel Traffic

While more seafaring vessels typically mean faster goods movement and greater trade opportunities, the Chattogram Port Authority has taken a different approach. Arguing the need to enhance operational efficiency, the authority has initiated steps to reduce the number of approved ships calling at the port. A letter has already been sent to the shipowners’ association, giving a deadline to submit a list of 15 geared and gearless ships to be delisted.
