Dhaka University has decided to end its affiliation with seven government colleges starting from the 2024-25 academic year. Admissions for these colleges will no longer be conducted under DU. The decision was made during a meeting between DU authorities and the college principals. Emergency Meeting Decision: Seven Colleges No Longer Under Dhaka University

The seven government colleges affiliated with Dhaka University (DU) are being separated from DU. Starting from the 2024-25 academic session, admission tests for these colleges will no longer be conducted under Dhaka University. This decision was reached on Monday (January 27) during an emergency meeting held at noon between Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmad Khan and the principals of the seven colleges.

On Monday (January 27), several decisions were made during a meeting between the principals of the seven colleges and Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmad Khan. One of the decisions was to ensure an honorable separation of the seven government colleges from Dhaka University.
