Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 500 kilograms of catfish (locally known as "shing machh") while it was being smuggled into India via the Kasba border in Brahmanbaria. Acting on a tip-off, members of BGB-60’s Kharera BOP Camp conducted the operation. The seized fish were later auctioned off through customs authorities, confirmed Lieutenant Colonel Md. Ziaur Rahman, commander of BGB-60.
