Local residents and tourists call for urgent restoration to preserve its cultural legacy and develop it into a heritage tourism site. Officials say restoration is stalled as ownership remains private, though renewed talks with heirs are underway.
In Feni stands the nearly 200-year-old Pratappur Zamindar estate. Built in the Bengali year 1228 (1822 CE) by then zamindar Ramnath Krishna Saha, it is located in Pratappur village of Purbachandrapur Model Union, Daganbhuiyan Upazila.
