From Quader Mirza’s Cadre to Coordinator Riyad

Riyad, who was recently arrested in Gulshan on charges of extortion under the guise of a student coordinator, was once an armed cadre of Quader Mirza, the younger brother of Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader. Later, he became the acting convener of the United Private University chapter of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement. It has also been reported that Riyad holds a position as a student representative at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
